Vine to Glass
Vinos Regionales is currently financing a geothermal energy project that offsets 100% of all carbon emissions generated by farming, vinifying, and shipping of all of our wines worldwide. In addition, our glass bottles are made with 80% recycled glass. We are always striving to lower our CO2 emission footprint, one step at a time.
Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is a type of renewable energy taken from the Earth’s core. It comes from heat generated during the original formation of the planet and the radioactive decay of materials. This thermal energy is stored in rocks and fluids in the center of the earth.
Vine to Glass
"Vine to Glass” in the Carbon Hero stamp indicates that the carbon footprint related to the farming, vinification and logistics of these wines from the winery to the retail and restaurant doors of all destination countries has been offset in its entirety. In addition to
offsetting our carbon emissions, we also work to lower our footprint on a yearly basis. The first step that we have already taken is lowering the weight of our bottles to 395 grams. We are also starting to vinify many of our wines in solar-powered facilities. Our goal is to partner with shipping companies, importers, distributors, and trade partners that are concerned about the environment and want to lower their own carbon footprint.
